What is EBC verification in NSR?
EBC (Empanelled Background Checkers) are the independent third-party service provider entities empaneled by NDML and NASSCOM to provide the services of checking the accuracy of information registered by Knowledge Professionals with National Skills Registry. The main work of EBC is to make a record of the background check results on the NSR system.
Request of Verification
The EBC’s performs the verification of the information at the request of a subscriber company or at the request of registered professionals which has been approved by knowledge professionals to see the profile.
Process of Verification
EBCs can access the NSR system online and see information of knowledge professionals for whom they are doing the verification. After collecting the fees and documents needed for verification from the user requesting the verification, The EBCs will crosscheck the details submitted by professionals from the information source i.e., employment details will be verified by a personal visit to the employer companies, qualifications details are verified by visiting the institutions, universities and concerned colleges and the address is verified by the personal visit.
Results of Verification
After finishing the verification, the EBCs will record the verification in the form of comments of verification against the information of knowledge professionals on NSR system. These comments can be viewed by company approved by the professionals, her/his employer and the professionals itself.
