Previously, taxpayers were sending ITR-V (one page verification document) to the income tax department in Bangalore after submitting their tax return form on the e-filing website. Now, you can easily verify your income tax return online with the help of an electronic verification code (EVC).
An electronic verification code (EVC) is a 10 digit alphanumeric code received by the taxpayers on their registered mobile number at the time of e-verifying returns.
